Programme Administrator (CC12368) - Bath, BA2 7AYThis is an exciting opportunity to become a Programmes Administrator within the Doctoral College. You will join our team supporting the Doctor of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) courses - a three-year full-time professional doctorate, where students (trainees) spend half their time in the University and half their time on supervised placements in local NHS mental health settings. The team also supports the Foundation Systemic Theory and Practice course. You will work alongside two other Programme Administrators and the Programme Manager, as well as with the wider team within the Doctoral College.This role will have responsibility for a variety of programme-related activities, and will also support colleagues with their roles. Activities will include:supporting the admissions process, including liaising with potential applicants, processing and initial shortlisting of candidates, and managing the final shortlist and reserve listsupporting teaching and administration of the programme, working closely with a range of internally- and externally-based lecturersacting as first point of contact to studentsadministering programme sub-committeesmaintaining accurate student records, and ensuring compliance with Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts.Financial aspects including managing trainee expenses, ensuring compliance with NHS policies and deadlines, and/or managing payments for People with Personal Experience (PPE) involved in the programmeLiaising with external bodies including service users, NHS Trust and partners, and ensuring subsequent compliance with external accreditation requirementsAbout youThis is a busy and varied role. You will need to have:excellent organisational skillsappropriately high levels of autonomy and initiativethe ability to multi-task and work with others to plan and prioritizestrong IT skills to facilitate managing university- and programme-specific records, admissions processing and other relevant systems.Good communication skills are also essential in order to engage with the wide range of individuals and groups connected to the programme - including academic staff, Doctoral College colleagues and other professional services staff within the university, as well with externally based short-listers, speakers, examiners, placement conveners and NHS colleagues.Although colleagues have a clearly-defined role we work closely together as a team to support each other, and so team work as well as the ability to work independently are equally important.Further informationThis is a part-time role working 0.5 fte (18.25 hours per week) for an initial fixed-term period of 12 months, pending a business review. Applications are encouraged from any administrative background. We currently operate a hybrid model such that staff can mix working from home and in the office on campus.
