Affinity Water, the UK's Largest Water-Only business has a fantastic career opportunity to become a Trainee Electrical Production Technician.
As a trainee, you will be working alongside the Production Technicians to learn the skills, equipment, and processes on site to become a Production Technician. A Production Technician delivers planned and reactive maintenance, gets involved in the delivery of small projects and capital work on site, and safeguards water quality, health and safety, security, and operations. Taking ownership of their own KPI compliance and site production availability and tidiness, the role supports the Production Lead and the wider Production Team to deliver company and directorate objectives.

The Technicians are part of a dynamic, visible team that is trusted by the business and has a reputation as being reliable and high performing. Individuals in Production see their work as a vocation and feel a duty and responsibility to create this vision in their role and across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Train alongside the Production Technicians to ensure maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and process equipment is completed so that sites are reliable to provide maximum output.
* Adhere to site standards, water quality, health and safety, operations & maintenance ensuring sites are kept in a clean, tidy, and safe state.
* Work alongside the Production Technicians to drive and implement site improvement schemes, supporting and sharing best practice and driving continuous improvement across the department and directorate.
* Adhere to company procedures and training. Be engaged in regular one-to-one meetings and Personal Best Performance Check-Ins, taking appropriate action where necessary.
* Work alongside the Production Technicians to support and assist in the delivery of capital schemes.
* Assist with inspections to ensure that statutory, regulatory, and compliance work is carried out on time.
* Escalate issues to ensure risks are understood at an appropriate level and the impact is controlled.
* Member of area standby rota to provide front line level support during call outs, agreed with the line manager based on competency and completion of training requirements.
Experience Required:
You must be working towards or newly qualified in Electrical NVQ 3 or C&G.
Salary:
• Starting Basic Salary: £20,162 + full flexibility allowance £4,728 = £24,890.
• 8 months into apprenticeship: With manager approval on apprenticeship progress, salary will increase to £27,890.
• 14 months into apprenticeship: With manager approval on apprenticeship progress, salary will increase to £29,890.
• 20 months into apprenticeship: With manager approval on apprenticeship progress, salary will increase to £31,890.
