Economic Research Analyst, Economic Decision Science
DESCRIPTION
The Amazon Economics organization is hiring for 2-year positions in our Economics Research Analyst Program. We seek highly-skilled and motivated individuals eager to work on applied research in a business environment alongside Amazon Economists, while acquiring research skills for PhD admissions. Guided by full-time Amazon Economists, Economics Research Analysts will learn to work with large, complex data sets to solve real-world business problems at scale using economic methods. Knowledge of statistics and basic familiarity with programming languages are necessary; experience with econometrics and statistical programming languages (Python, R, Stata) is a plus.
These are full-time positions with a fixed duration of 2 years, including compensation and benefits. The program prepares analysts to apply for PhD programs in their second year through mentorship, guidance on coursework, and admissions coaching. You will learn to build data sets and perform applied econometric analysis at internet speed, collaborating with economists, data scientists, and MBAs. These skills will enhance your PhD application and provide valuable work experience for writing applied chapters in your dissertation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
