SALES OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR - to keep Order and Database Upkeep Job purpose: To accurately input orders and other information to support the sales team and our customers. To cover any role, as required, within the Sales Office. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: As part of the Sales Team, responsible for: 1. Accurately inputting sales orders and quotations onto Wintree software. 1. Assist all departments in updating and maintaining computer database. 1. Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via telephone calls and emails. 1. Be able to familiarise other team members’ roles to be able to give holiday and sickness cover. 1. Assist in all areas of office administration. 1. Assist the marketing department as necessary. Completing Reports with the latest up to date figures and facts. Scale and Scope: Seven production sites across 200 hectares in the East Midlands 100 staff 2.25 million container-grown shrubs and trees 1.1 million field-grown and container-grown trees Target Sectors: Landscape Contractors Local Authorities Wholesale Growers Landscape Architects, Urban and Masterplanners Commercial Property Developers Universities & Educational Establishments Housebuilders Estates, Parks and Gardens Retail Nurseries & Garden Centres Turnover £10 million THE PERSON Personality: Positive, credible and comfortable in dealing with personnel at all levels. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Presentable and businesslike. Able to get on with others and be a team-player. Personal Situation: Able to commute reliably to office base. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required. Business and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent telephone communicator. Must be comfortable supporting and dealing with customers. Ideally be familiar with nursery stock and horticultural issues or have a willingness to learn. Computer skills: PC-literate, particularly Excel and Word. Email-literate. Literacy and Numeracy: Must be accurate and competent with pricing requirements
