Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our client's team based in Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding components and structures for a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek from Monday to Thursday, with the opportunity for overtime pay on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform welding tasks using various welding processes such as MIG and TIG welding.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to determine appropriate welding techniques.
* Set up and operate welding equipment and tools.
* Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
* Conduct maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to complete projects on time.
* Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
* Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a similar industry.
* Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc).
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Good physical condition and stamina, as the role involves manual labor and working in various positions.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in welding operations.
