Main Purpose:
To be responsible for the shaping and delivery of the Home's Statement of Purpose, in accordance with relevant legislation and quality standards To manage the day-to-day operation of Home and the provision of quality care for looked after children, ensuring that all physical and emotional care needs of the children are met, Act as an advocate for the children's wellbeing, working in partnership with their families and other professionals and provide strong, motivational leadership and development for the staff team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop and sustain effective working relationships between workers and the local community, colleagues and other agencies in order to promote collaborative working and partnerships and maximise positive outcomes for the children and their families.
2. Lead, line manage and motivate the team and individual workers to enhance performance and drive continuous improvement, including providing supervision, support, assessment, training, coaching and appraisal.
3. Manage the effective and efficient deployment of staffing, including leading on the recruitment and retention, working with human resources to ensure compliance with safer recruitment practices, and overseeing the preparation of rotas to monitor working hours.
