We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Whatton, a category C Prison located in Nottinghamshire.

Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £38,115 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security.
2. You will be required to work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison services needs.
3. Within this role, you will be an integral member of the Medicines Management team, which forms part of the wider cluster of Healthcare Services. Practice Plus Group policies and procedures and statutory frameworks governing patient care in a prison setting, will be used in order to deliver the highest standard of care to clients in line with National Guidelines.

11. NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) to be considered for this role
12. You will also have relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
