Your new role This is a fantastic job for a qualified primary teacher looking for the flexibility of supply, with a higher level of security of regular work for part of the week. Working alongside the school's PE Coach, you will teach PE to classes across school in KS1 and KS2, providing PPA cover. Although there is no formal planning, you will need suitable preparation to successfully deliver the pre-planned lessons, and you will deliver fun, engaging and inclusive PE lessons. This is a part-time role, teaching full days on a Monday and Wednesday, starting ASAP and on an ongoing basis. What you'll need to succeed You will need to hold qualified teacher status (QTS) and the school is happy to consider experienced teachers or NQTs/ECTs. You will need to be flexible and adaptable, as, due to the nature of this role, you will be moving around the school, covering different classes. You need to be a positive team player, with good time management and behaviour management skills. You will have knowledge of the primary PE curriculum, and ideally have experience of teaching across Key Stages 1 and 2. Where a specialism in PE or sport isn't essential, it would be advantageous. In addition to this, we will require two satisfactory classroom-based references. A DBS on the Update Service would be ideal, but not essential, as we can support you with putting a new DBS application into process.
