Welcome to West Midlands Metro – The region’s expanding tram network!
Our tram network is at the heart of the region and is set to become a whole lot bigger and better! MML is 100% owned by the West Midlands Combined Authority and functions as a standalone business which is proud to have been awarded a 15-year operations and maintenance contract for the Metro system.
Our tram network is at the heart of the region, with its exciting public transport integration plans, and is now building on the past 20 years of successful operations as we move into a period of major expansion.
It’s an exciting time for the region as ambitious plans for growth and regeneration begin to be delivered. We look forward to the Commonwealth Games taking place this year. As our metro network transforms from a single line to a network that will triple in size, it will serve over 80 tram stops, more than 20 transport interchanges, and link Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Dudley, Brierley Hill, Digbeth, North Solihull, Birmingham Airport, the NEC, and HS2. We aim to connect more customers to places across the region for work, education, and leisure.
Amidst so much growth and change, we’ll continue to ensure customers remain at the forefront of our plans. We aim to deliver a safe, secure, reliable, and sustainable tram service that meets and exceeds expectations as we increase the use of West Midlands Metro’s services.
