Job overview
Research and Development is seeking a highly professional, comprehensive, and confidential Administrator/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support to the department. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the Research and Development department, requiring the post holder to manage a variety of tasks with utmost efficiency and discretion.
Main duties of the job
* To work effectively with the Administration Manager, the ADO (Research), the Legal and Governance teams, using own initiative, to support all related study work including maintenance of documentation and the office environment.
* Administer the Good Clinical Practice and other departmental training courses for new and existing Trust wide staff in accordance with the Trust’s requirements.
* Coordinate and maintain the efficient level of office supplies for R&D staff and the Bio-Resource on S2.
* Arrange collection of post and coordinate courier services pick ups and collections relating to study documentations or contracts, follow up and update relevant depts.
* To maintain the contracts signature process Docusign.
* Support the performance monitoring of research studies through data input of relevant information.
* To provide a central communication hub for the R&D Team.

Qualifications
* Educated to NVQ level 4 or equivalent experience in Customer Service / Business Admin / ITQ.
* GCP certificate.
Experience
* Worked in office environment.
* Used to working in a busy environment.
* Adaptable and flexible in their approach to working and able to cope under pressure.
* Proven experience of providing administrative support to senior members of staff.
* Strong administrative management skills including effective communication, team working and negotiation skills.
* Previous research environment experience is desirable. The applicant will need to show evidence of completing their GCP certificate or they will have the opportunity to complete this once they have been appointed.
* Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge
* Ability to work independently.
* Ability to liaise with members from the multidisciplinary team.
* IT Skills (MS Word, Excel and Outlook).
* Ability to work quickly and accurately, particularly when inputting data.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
