Job summary We are seeking an efficient and highly organised medical secretary to join our dynamic team at Mill Road surgery, on a part-time basis for 16 hours per week. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, supporting our medical staff, and providing excellent service to our patients. Main duties of the job Provide administrative support to doctors and other healthcare professionals. Prepare and manage correspondence, including letters, emails, and reports. Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries from patients, healthcare professionals, and external agencies. Process referrals, tasks and incoming emails from patients and third party providers. Assist in the preparation of medical documents. Ensure the practices policies and procedures are adhered to, particularly in relation to patient confidentiality and data protection.
