The development of the centre is well underway, including a state-of-the-art Health and Wellbeing Spa, a 25m swimming pool, 20m learner pool, and a state-of-the-art gym and wellness space. Trafford Leisure is a community interest company, we exist to benefit the Trafford community and we are committed to being a responsible and sustainable employer. We are the largest operator of sport and leisure facilities in Trafford, operating eight indoor facilities, one golf course and driving range and 31 outdoor football pitches, attracting over 2 million visits and employing a workforce of over 300 people. The role:
This role will be integral in leading and managing the centre both strategically and operationally. It is also a big challenge and isn’t for the faint hearted, with a projected turnover of around £3,000,000, an increased square meter footage of 5500m2 and a team of around 100 people. This will be the busiest and largest of all our facilities and this role will require someone with significant Duty Manager experience.
You will be responsible for the day to day management and operation of the centre, working with the management teams to support and develop all areas of the centre activities. Alongside your management team you will be responsible for continuously working and driving forward the standards of Trafford Leisure within your centre and to offer our customers excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility of the operational day to day running of the centre providing guidance and leadership to the Duty Managers and the team.
* Working closely with the department managers to ensure these areas are managed effectively consistently to achieve optimum programme delivery.
* Supporting the General Manager to manage the financial processes to ensure the centre is on target generating growth and stability to the business.
* Provide support to the General Manager in managing the health and safety of the centre.
* Creating a strong and highly motivated team who are passionate about delivering high standards.
* Supporting your General Manager to monitor and analyse key performance indicators to improve the service delivery of the centre.
* Managing the development of people within your team, providing direction and support to unleash their true potential.
* Coaching and training your team to ensure they are skilled and knowledgeable in all areas of their responsibilities.
* Supporting the General Manager in the creation of the Centre's budget and financial management systems.

As this is a brand-new development, the Assistant Manager will be heavily involved with recruitment of Move Altrincham and to support the General Manager to train, develop and motivate our team ready for opening in early 2025.
