My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team due to continued growth and expansion.
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Time served maintenance technician with 5 years related industrial maintenance experience or equivalent
Experience working within a manufacturing environment ideally with processing line experience
Practical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical/electronic motion control systems.
Electrical installations and wiring – practical familiarity with European and international standards and installation. Specific experience with troubleshooting and repairing motors and drives.
Web handling experience would be desirable – specific knowledge of tension measurement and control systems and devices is particularly desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Duties:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by undertaking preventive and reactive maintenance activities.
Understanding the design and operation of equipment by pro-active familiarization.
Reading and correctly interpreting engineering specifications, design drawings, operations manuals & manufacturer's instructions
Problem solving-Identifying incorrect equipment operation and locating sources of error.
Observing equipment in operation and by selecting and using appropriate test and measurement instruments.
Making running adjustments to parts of devices and control instruments to ensure correct function
Undertaking repairs to defective parts, in-situ or remotely in a workshop setting. Removing defective parts by dismantling devices; by hand, with power tools, using hoists and cranes as appropriate
Fabricating repair parts where appropriate, by using machine shop equipment g. Installation and correct set-up of replacement parts
Ensures the integrity and correct functioning of machine guarding, interlocks and safety devices
Supervisees and monitors routine preventive maintenance tasks by production operatives
Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing equipment and services down-time information and trends
Provide support for machine installations, including lifting and placement, levelling and alignment, connection of services (power, air, water)
