The successful applicant will be part of a small team helping with the delivery of highway designs and major scheme delivery. This role offers a challenging and unusual opportunity to work as part of an integrated design and operational (construction) team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and project manage the delivery of highway designs prepared by engineers and technicians
Planning, controlling, monitoring, and reporting of projects
Client management
Resource target costing for projects
Project commercial and delivery control
Risk management
Procurement of specialist design services from outside organisations
Job Requirements:
Project management experience within highways infrastructure
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project and/or Asta Project planner
Experience in a highways infrastructure engineering environment
Evidence of previous project management roles and responsibilities
Working knowledge of resource planning and programming
Experience in managing design teams to meet client time, cost, and quality expectations
Experience in delivering projects on time and within budget
Environmental awareness
Valid UK/EEC driving licence
Desirable Skills:
Sound knowledge of Highway Agency standards and/or Local Authority procedures
NEC Conditions of Contract construction experience
