This full-time, contract role provides an exciting opportunity to work with students who require additional support in developing essential life skills. As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions that support students’ motor, sensory, and functional skills. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams to create tailored strategies that help students achieve independence and success in their daily activities. This role is ideal for both experienced Occupational Therapists and newly qualified professionals looking to make a difference in a rewarding school environment. Key Responsibilities: Assess students’ individual needs and develop tailored occupational therapy programmes. Provide direct therapy sessions, group interventions, and in-class support to enhance students’ engagement and development. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to implement effective strategies. Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary. Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for supporting students’ physical and sensory needs. Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding procedures in line with school policies. Qualifications and Experience: A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy. HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration. Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
