Aker Solutions in Dyce, Aberdeen are looking for a Project HSSE Advisor for Jackdaw HUC and East Anglia 3 projects.
This PAYE contract will run until the end of 2025, with possible extensions.
This position required eligibilty to work in the UK.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior HSSE Specialist Life Cycle UK the Project HSSE Advisor will establish a variety of HSSE protocols into hook-up and commissioning execution, including:
Work with the responsible project managers to ensure the correct mindset is embedded throughout their designated projects
Develop and execute HSSE plans and risk management processes throughout Hook Up and Commissioning phases, and close out of all tasks ensuring that personnel are aware of the HSSE Plan and its desired outcome
Ensure the HSSE Management System is embedded within our operations and activities
Take a lead role in the development and maintenance of HSSE procedures, ensuring that HSSE is embedded in operational procedures
Assure that all HSSE activities for their designated projects are planned, organized and executed according to project, company and legislative requirements
Ensure all HSSE elements in the Project Execution Model are completed to remain compliant with PEM
Be an active lead/participant in incident investigation, including reporting and actioning of incidents and high potential near miss occurrences and implementing corrective and preventative actions while recording the process in Synergi
Ensure Root Cause Analysis is conducted and prepare Lessons Learned on all incidents across their designated projects
Reviewing and endorsing vendor documents in respect of HSSE
Assist in supplier management, where required, including pre-qualification assessments and appraisals
Performing internal and external audits for all teams and departments in their designated projects
Complete any HSSE reporting, through Synergi, on a monthly basis
Onboarding orientations and other relevant training to all Aker Solutions and subcontractor personnel
Coordinating, and with support of Aker Solutions Leadership, delivering safety meetings, communicating safety alerts, industry best practices and lessons learned
Promoting stop work authority, project safety initiatives and activities that drive the delivery of the Project HSSE Activity PlanWe think you should have:

NVQ 4/NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent experience
Qualified investigator (Kelvin Topset or 8D)
A recognised Environmental qualification
Qualified lead auditor (ISO 9001, 45001 or 14001) (Internal auditor with minimum of 3 years auditing experience)
Formal training in the ISO 9001, 45001 & ISO 14001 Standards
Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of SynergiPersonal Competencies

5+ years working in a similar role
Demonstrable relevant experience of working in an HSSE Department on and offshore, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry or similar high risk industry
Training in Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
Training in Chemical Management/COSHH
