The Configuration and Data manager is responsible for the overall implementation and maintenance of the Configuration Management approach for the programme/product and is the single interface for all documentation transmittals between the company and external stakeholders (Authority and suppliers)
Including:
1. Consistency of information in the configuration management system for the programme / product.
2. Responsible for the establishment of reference baselines (FBL, ABL, PBL)
3. Participates in the analysis of contractual requirements for Configuration Management (in the bid and programme phases).
4. Tailors the Organisation Configuration Management system and customer requirements for the programme and transcribes them into a Configuration Management Plan, implements the provisions of the Configuration Management Plan and makes sure they are followed.
5. With subcontractors and suppliers, ensures the application of Configuration Management requirements (SOW, etc) and ensures the follow-up of configuration management requirements.
6. Participates, with respect to the criteria, in the selection of Configuration Items selected for configuration monitoring.
7. Animates, organises and manages the Configuration Control Board (CCB) as well as pre and post CCB activities (including administrative tasks).
