I have partnered with an ambitious and growing UK law firm in their recruitment of a Head of People & Wellbeing opportunity. The role will have oversight of 2 x experienced HR Advisors, and the opportunity to face off with the key stakeholders (Partners & Managing Partner) in the business to implement proactive & progressive change. As part of the Management Team, it will be your responsibility and previous experience to bring forward market trends & shape the firm's ability to grow in size & reputation.
Ideally, we are looking for individuals who come from a Legal / Professional Services background, as well as based in Bromley / Kent area.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee HR operations and strategy.
2. Serve as a strategic advisor to Partners, Line Managers, and the Firm.
3. Enhance HR's value through designing and executing HR strategies.
4. Manage all HR functions: compensation, benefits, payroll, training, employee relations, and recruitment.
5. Lead high-level projects on job design, reorganization, and work environments.
6. Oversee HR-related communications, wellbeing, and cultural initiatives.
7. Drive change initiatives, supporting stakeholders through transitions.
8. Lead business restructures during growth periods.
9. Analyse HR data to recommend improvements.
10. Ensure policies and contracts remain up-to-date.
11. Manage employee onboarding and offboarding.
12. Network with other HR leaders, attending relevant meetings.
13. Collaborate with the HR Advisor to maintain agency relationships for top talent access.
14. Act as the Culture Ambassador in recruitment, participating in senior-level interviews.
15. Continuously review and implement innovative hiring practices.
16. Develop and refine a consistent onboarding and induction process.
17. Partner with headhunters for strategic recruitment.
18. Oversee the appraisal process, including its redesign and alignment with business needs.
19. Lead moderation panels to ensure fair and consistent performance appraisals.
20. Advise teams on talent management processes, including promotions, career development, retention, and succession planning.
21. Identify and implement beneficial schemes for the Firm, from research to execution.
22. Ensure compensation, payroll, and benefits remain competitive.
