Our client, an adult male, suffered a brain injury and lives in his own purposely adapted home in the Stalybridge area. As a result, he needs assistance with moving and handling, hoisting, physiotherapy exercises, hydrotherapy, medication, personal hygiene, toileting, and carrying out activities of daily living. You will also undertake household tasks such as laundry, preparing simple meals, and general cleaning.
You will be working 1:1 with the client, who is friendly, personable, and enjoys socialising and meeting friends and family.
You must have a commitment to promoting and maintaining an independent lifestyle for an individual with significant care needs. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills while delivering care to an individual in his own home.
Motivated, patient, and enthusiastic people are required to work an evening and sleep-in shift, starting at 18:00, finishing the following lunchtime at 13:00 (sleeping at the client’s property 24:00-08:00).
Undertaking a range of duties to support the client, you will work closely with other members of the team in providing the highest standards of health care.
Shifts available: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and alternate Saturdays.
19-hour shifts worked as follows:
1. 18:00-24:00 (sleep 24:00-08:00)
2. 08:00-13:00
You will have verbal communication and interpersonal skills, backed by previous health care experience (preferred); however, full training will be given to those with the right approach and attitude.
