Job Title: English and Maths KS3 LAC Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, South Benfleet Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 Looked After Children (LAC) Create engaging lesson plans to support individual learning needs Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly Collaborate with teachers and social workers to ensure holistic support for LAC Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with Looked After Children Enhanced DBS check Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with LAC Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Empathy and sensitivity towards the needs of Looked After Children Working Conditions: Part-Time hours, flexible scheduling Work primarily with LAC in educational settings (learners homes, carehomes, local libraries) Collaborative work environment with teachers and social workers All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
