We are looking for an experienced and motivated full time Consultant Psychiatrist, to join the Women's directorate of the West London Forensic services, based at The Orchard, St Bernard's Hospital Ealing, with sessional input into the Specialist Forensic community team.
The salary range for this post is, £99,532 - £131,964 per annum plus London Zone Weighting, pro rata.

Main duties of the job

You will be joining a well-established multi-disciplinary clinical team providing care across two wards. The ward is commissioned to provide care for 10 women with mental disorders who require treatment in conditions of medium security.
The SCFT service covers 8 boroughs of North West London in 3 hubs. The post is within one of the hubs to provide input into the care, treatment and risk management for patients under the care coordination of the SCFT. This will include co-working alongside inpatient teams.
The post has 7 sessions in the Women's Secure Service and 3 sessions with the SCFT.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
* Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management
* CCT in Forensic Psychiatry
* Experience in forensic Community mental health care and/or rehabilitation of forensic patients
* Use of relevant tools, e.g. HCR20, HONOS
* Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment
* GMC Specialist Register or within six months
* Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
* Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
* Good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice
Clinical knowledge
* Excellent clinical skills in interviewing and psychiatric risk assessment
* Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to write comprehensive clear reports for multiagency professional networks
* Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA
* Evidence based knowledge of forensic psychiatry, relevant legislation and multiagency clinical risk management
