Hungry Minds Publishing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced International Logistics Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless movement of goods across borders while supporting our global publishing operations.
Responsibilities:
* Facilitate international shipments of goods from pick-up to delivery
* Ensure compliance with regulations and laws governing cross-border transportation
* Provide guidance on documentation and customs requirements
* Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers
* Communicate with suppliers and warehouses to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of goods
* Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolution of any issues
* Advise on packaging and labeling requirements for international shipments
* Advise on customs compliance regulations and tariffs
* Review and classify product codes for duty and tariff purposes
* Work with external stakeholders such as suppliers, customers and government officials
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in customs regulations
* Research and identify new markets and business opportunities
* Analyze special needs to import products and verifying the required papers for customs regulations
Requirements:
* Relevant experience from 5 years (E-commerce companies preferably)
* Bachelor’s degree in International Trade or Economics
* Experience in international trade, customs regulations and procedures, import/export compliance and/or logistics in different regions (US, Europe, Asia)
* Comprehensive knowledge of import processes and regulations
* Proven experience managing multimodal international transportation (sea, air, rail, land)
* Experience in managing tenders for carriers and negotiating optimal terms and conditions
* Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, database software, and web-based applications
* Familiarity with the printing market is a strong advantage
