Salary - Grade E, £25,992 - £27,269 (depending on length of service)
Full Time - 37 Hours per week all year round
Temporary Contract to cover a maternity leave

We have a vacancy for Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to work at Bensham Grove Nursery School full time, 37 hours per week, all year round position, maternity cover. Job share and reduced hours will be considered.

Bensham Grove Nursery School is Gateshead’s only maintained nursery school. We have recently expanded our offer to deliver all education and childcare from Birth to 4 years at our Sidney Grove site. We have also recently opened our satellite provision at The Deckham Family Hub.
We are looking to appoint Early Years Practitioners who have a Level 3 qualification (please check the DfE qualification list to see if your qualification is valid) and have considerable experience of working with children from Birth to 4 years. Although the position is maternity leave, there may be a possibility to extend this due to our provision expanding.
You will be committed to continuing your own professional journey. At Bensham Grove we have a strong emphasis on developing our staff team and we have high expectations of all staff who are working with and caring for our children.
You will have an ability to demonstrate excellent and inclusive classroom practice in line with our child centred ethos which promotes good progress and improves all children’s wellbeing and achievement.
You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and Birth to 5 Matters.
You will be able to show how you have contributed positively within an early years setting.
You will demonstrate a desire to work closely with a range of skilled professionals and with children’s families to achieve the best outcomes for the children and families who attend Bensham Grove.
