Our client, based in Yeovil (BA20), are seeking an Editorial Reviewer/Instructional Systems Designer to Review and Edit Training Courseware to ensure that all content aligns with the project specification, standards, clarity and consistency across all systems and individual programmes. This is a full-time temporary position working 37 hours per week until April 2026 with the possibility of extension.
Main Purpose:
1. To Review and Edit Training Courseware to ensure that all content aligns with the project specification, standards, clarity and consistency across all systems and individual programmes.
2. Support the development and standardisation of training courseware content within the Learning Content Management System (LCMS).
3. Provide editorial independence and impartial inputs, to all courseware content reviews.
4. Support the development of Distance Learning training packages.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Educated to a good level, with at least 2 years’ relevant experience in an editorial or authoring role.
2. Knowledge of Simplified English (SE) and Technical English (TE).
3. A good understanding of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) and modern training systems.
4. An understanding of Training Needs Analysis and Courseware Design.
5. An “eye” for detail, with a good sense of narrative.
6. Experience in design of Courseware development or related subjects.
7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
8. The ability to work effectively in a team.
