About the Electronics Technician Role
* This is a hands-on, practical role at the core of the electronics engineering lab. As an Electronics Technician, you’ll assist engineers with assembling and testing PCB boards and prototypes, creating test jigs and tools, and maintaining the smooth running of the electronics lab environment. Your contribution will support the development of advanced electronics products used in demanding real-world conditions.
* This role is ideal for someone with solid technical knowledge, great attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with engineers in a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble and test prototypes, breadboards, and test equipment to support engineering development.
* Assist engineers with the preparation of drawings, manufacturing documents, and procedures.
* Build tools, fixtures, and test setups for product validation and performance testing.
* Manage stock and supplies in the engineering lab, ensuring everything is ready for project use.
* Support material rework in collaboration with manufacturing teams
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
* Take on additional technical duties as directed by the management team
What You’ll Bring To This Electronics Technician Job
* Ideally, an OND or HND in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
* Hands-on experience in an electronics lab or similar technical environment
* Good knowledge of electronic components.
* Skilled in SMT soldering,
* Comfortable with lab equipment i.e. oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analysers, and logic analysers.
* Able to write clear reports and communicate effectively with engineers and team members
* Practical maths skills to support component calculations and measurements
