Hanson Recruitment is looking to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant with experience of working with young people and children facing emotional and social challenges. This is an exciting position available for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide support to the class teacher.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing dedicated support to individual pupils and other pupils in class.
2. Supporting the students’ academic progress and development.
3. Collaborating with the classroom teacher and other staff members to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment.
4. Assisting with the student's behaviour management and social-emotional development.
5. Following all school behaviour, safeguarding, and Health and Safety policies.
Qualifications & attributes:
1. Experience working with children.
2. Good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
3. The ability to support reading and phonics for students at the early stages of reading.
4. Good organisational and communication skills.
5. The ability to support a programme of extra-curricular activities.
6. Ability to work between 8:30am to 3:30pm during term-time only.
The role of a Teaching Assistant will enable you to use both your academic and interpersonal skills to support children in the classroom. You will have the flexibility to work around your studies and can change your availability week by week.
