We are working with a Tier 1 contractor who has a major new build scheme in Oxford to recruit an experienced M&E Site Manager to look after the self-delivery of the electrical packages and assist with the wider delivery teams on the project.
The company is a national brand with an excellent reputation in their chosen marketplace and has excellent long-term relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the wider supply chain. They have a forward-thinking approach to staff engagement, and there are opportunities to grow and develop your career with them.
The role is to take full responsibility for the subcontract packages across the electrical installation and work with the wider site team to manage from start-up through to commissioning of the services.
The electrical element is being self-delivered by a number of in-house subcontractors and directly employed labour, which will be managed and supervised as a traditional package. You will be responsible for pre-starts, inductions, daily site inspections, progress reports, dealing with technical queries, call-off orders for plant and materials, quality audits, as well as health and safety. You will also be working alongside the delivery manager for the mechanical subcontractor.
The role would ideally suit someone from either a main contractor or specialist subcontractor with experience of both mechanical and electrical services. Experience in delivery would be an advantage. Ideally, candidates should be degree qualified, but we are also keen to consider individuals who have worked their way up from the tools.
The role is available as a permanent position, a long-term fixed-term contract (12 months), or the client would consider a freelance/contract position on a day rate basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that will value your opinion and listen to your expertise. In return, they offer you the chance to develop your career in whatever direction you want to take it, so apply or get in touch for a more detailed conversation.
