An opportunity has emerged for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer seeking to advance their skills and career in Electrical Engineering. This role offers the chance to collaborate with Electrical Engineers and commercial developers on HV/LV and process control equipment and projects within a rapidly expanding sector of the business. Responsibilities: Design and engineer electrical systems for various applications, including grid-scale installations, commercial and industrial facilities, and energy projects. Perform feasibility studies, technical evaluations, provide independent expert advice, and offer technical oversight throughout project delivery. Perform system modelling, simulation, and optimization to maximize the performance and efficiency of energy generation & storage systems. Develop and implement control strategies for systems, ensuring safety and reliability. Support project development activities, including site visits, data analysis, and preparation of technical reports and proposals Conduct testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to both project and operational teams as required. Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as utilities, regulatory bodies, and technology suppliers, to facilitate successful project execution and maintain industry relationships. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Professional engineering certification or chartered engineer status. Proven experience in engineering, and implementation of power generation solutions. Familiarity with process control and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. Solid understanding of grid integration requirements, power system dynamics, and relevant industry standards (e.g. IEC, ENA, BS7671). Proficiency in system modelling and simulation software, such as MATLAB, AutoCAD, or equivalent. Role Detials: Based remotely (at home) with UK project-based assignment work as required Frequent periods of travel for project and site work Occasional overseas travel for meetings, site visits and project work Willingness and ability to travel to and work from site facilities and offices across the UK
