We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our Mental Health team at HMP Wealstun, a category Prison located in Wetherby.
HMP Wealstun is a male prison that focuses on training and education. We are looking for a Mental Health Clinical Lead to lead and join our team of around 12. The ideal candidate would be someone who has experience within a secure environment.
Hours
The service provides a 7-day service, including bank holidays. Monday to Friday 8-4 and weekend working Saturday and Sunday, which is 1 in 4 weekends.
Salary
This position is full-time; you'll receive an annual salary of up to £47,466 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis, and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main Duties of the Job
As a Mental Health Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Work as part of and lead the Mental Health team within the Integrated Healthcare Services team.
* Provide clinical leadership and management to Registered nurses and allied health professionals.
* Based on the Wellbeing Approach and Practice Plus mental Health policy, provide nursing triage and screening and assessment.
* Ensure all complaints/concerns relating to Mental Health are dealt with in a timely fashion.
* Nurse lead treatment or care within mental health.
* Confirm waiting lists are well managed, ensuring minimal waiting times for patients.
* Medicines management/advice including supporting medicine administration.
* Referral to another health professional or service as required.
* Set standards for care by implementing protocols and establishing health education activities.
* Maintain accurate documentation of assessment, planning, and treatment of patients.

Qualifications Required
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (Currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council).
* BSc or equivalent qualification.
* Experience of providing supervision.
* Teaching/Mentoring experience and/or qualification.
* Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and ongoing competence in all aspects of the role.
