An established and well-resourced primary school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support under 5s with special educational needs.
The Role
In this role, you will support under 5s with special educational needs in the Early Years Foundation Stage. The school has had a larger number of pupils join this year with additional needs and is therefore looking for an additional teaching assistant to join their team.
The pupils you will be working with have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language, and development. Some will have previously been assessed and have Educational and Healthcare Plans in place, while others will still be under assessment.
You will provide 1 to 1 support for individual pupils throughout the school day, particularly in whole class carpet sessions. You will also lead small groups and interventions, supporting pupils to interact with others in learning and play-based activities.
You will be part of a team delivering engaging, varied learning and development experiences. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff and may be involved in assessments and observations.
This role is offered on an ongoing contract basis.
The School
This primary school provides an excellent learning environment for pupils, with modern facilities for the Early Years to learn in exciting indoor and outdoor settings. The school has an established leadership team and offers good long-term career prospects.
If this role is of interest, please send an up-to-date CV ASAP.
