Shift Leader Front of House - Hounslow, London
Reports To: General Store Manager
Position Summary: You are the Captain of your Area. You are responsible for ensuring consistency of Service standards, excellent service, and maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the Front of House. You are accountable for achieving the store’s sales and profit by maintaining upselling procedures and guest care. It is your responsibility to keep your team motivated and create a cheerful, professional working environment that encourages guests to return to German Doner Kebab.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversees and manages the Front of House area at a German Doner Kebab Restaurant
* Ensures guest service meets company standards and maintains high customer satisfaction
* Responds efficiently to guest complaints and takes appropriate corrective actions
* Ensures the best quality of products is served
* Organizes the Front of House and supervises responsibilities to ensure team and guest satisfaction
* Trains and directs team members through organized training to ensure excellent guest service
* Appraises personnel performance and provides feedback to motivate and improve productivity
* Maintains stock inventory for Front of House and analyzes consumption
* Monitors and ensures compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
* Promotes and publicizes the GDK brand
* Nurtures a positive working environment and leads by example
* Monitors Front of House operations and initiates corrective actions
* Acts as duty manager on rotation basis
* Leads pre- and post-shift meetings with the Front of House team
* Responsible for business performance of the Front of House
* Ensures operations follow GDK guidelines
* Addresses root causes of guest complaints and resolves issues
* Ensures staff adhere to uniform standards
* Greets guests and manages reservations
* Supervises dining and counter staff shifts
* Maintains high standards of quality control, hygiene, and safety
* Prepares cash drawers and petty cash as required
* Supports other Front of House positions when needed
* Encourages teamwork and a positive work environment
* Completes daily reports at shift end
* Attends training and meetings as required
* Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager
* Coordinates with the General Store Manager on Front of House operations
* Monitors stock storage and cleanliness
* Collaborates to ensure stock control and margins
* Fills out daily paperwork
* Greets customers and models exceptional guest care
* Supports team during peak times and operational duties
* Maintains staff grooming standards
* Complies with legal responsibilities and business requirements
* Maintains equipment and preventative maintenance

* Guests / Delivery drivers
* GDK personnel
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interactive skills, enthusiasm for teamwork, and the following qualifications:
* Proven experience as Supervisor/Duty Manager in the Food Industry
* Experience in guest service management
* Extensive guest care knowledge
* Proficiency in English
* Computer literacy and POS system experience
* Strong leadership and motivational skills
