JOB TITLE: Process Operator
LOCATION: Telford
HOURS: 4 on 4 off days and nights. 7 - 7.
Job Purpose:
The Process Operator will be responsible for the monitoring of the extrusion process and
product quality assigned to them by their Team Manager, whilst contributing to the
overall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing function.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
2. Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
3. Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.
4. Promote and Display the Epwin Core Values.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
5. Monitor and record the required process parameters at the required times.
6. Carry our relevant checks on assigned products as required by the product quality plan.
7. Record scrap information. Segregate all non-conforming product from good production.
8. Communicate information via the relevant communication channels.
9. Record all required information for all operations as per company works instructions/procedures.
10. Alert relevant people to process and product concerns.
11. Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Team Manager and the training plan.
12. Safeguard property issued by the company.
13. Shutdown extrusion machine (include emergency shutdown).
14. Ensure workplace is clean and tidy – all housekeeping procedures followed associated with tasks.
15. Low level maintenance tasks when required.
16. Fault rectification and problem solving (low level)
17. Transfer the knowledge and skills among the team (others).
