Key Duties:
* Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and lead workshop staff to perform to the highest standards. Foster a dynamic environment where continuous learning and excellence are the norm.
* Workflow Management: Organize and schedule daily tasks and projects to maximize workflow efficiency within the workshop.
* Equipment Oversight: Oversee the maintenance and repair of workshop equipment, ensuring all tools are in top working condition.
* Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of materials and supplies, efficiently placing orders to avoid shortages.
* Logistics Coordination: Coordinate delivery schedules, including personally driving flatbed vehicles as needed for transporting goods.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a secure workshop environment.
* Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and knowledge, emphasizing advancements in HGV repair techniques.
* Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of work completed, inventory usage, and staff performance evaluations.
Required Skills:
* Proven Leadership: Demonstrable experience in a managerial role within a workshop or similar environment, ideally with HGVs.
* Strong Organizational Ability: Excellent skills in multitasking and organizing, ensuring smooth operations under varying workloads.
* Communication Excellence: Superior verbal and written communication abilities for effective team and client interactions.
* Driving Proficiency: Proficient in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license; experience in flatbed vehicle operations preferred.
