Job summary
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Durham and Darlington CAMHS Crisis and Liaison Team as a Team Manager working alongside the current manager who is reducing their hours.
The post holder will need to be flexible in their approach to managing the day to day operational aspects of the different teams and staff. You will develop skills towards leading the team and ensuring that operational requirements are adhered to including the delivery of clinical and management supervision, with the associated appraisal.
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative leadership approach with senior clinical staff including the service manager, Clinical Specialist Nurse and Consultant Psychologist. The successful candidate will also work alongside other healthcare providers, both internal and external displaying excellent skills in communication, engagement and collaborative working.
Main duties of the job
Operational management of the team areas, including accountability for ensuring the highest professional standards and attitudes towards the care of patients are maintained and delivered at all times in accordance with evidence based practice.
The successful candidate should be a competent and confident clinical practitioner with extensive experience working in Mental Health Services who wants to develop leadership and management skills.

Qualifications

1. Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work or relevant professional clinical qualification (ie PWP/CWP in IAPT/Getting Help services)
2. Be Educated to Degree level in leadership or a subject area relevant to the area of practice OR
3. Have equivalent clinical experience to that of masters level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience - which also includes significant experience of managing people (see below under experience), together with evidence of CPD
4. Be trained in Clinical Supervision and Providing Clinical Supervision
5. Be a Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor
