Are you a passionate Control Systems Engineer, looking for an exciting new role?
Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Control Systems Engineer to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Milton Keynes working as part of their Software and Controls team.
Our client is a large Scale Manufacturing firm based in Milton Keynes specialising in Mechanical equipment. The Business have a great reputation for the products they offer and the career progression opportunities they offer
Principle Responsibilities for the Control Systems Engineer :-
1. Write, develop and test module-level code in-line with the software development process.
2. Develop product-level code to support the development of new products.
3. Modify module-level and product-level code to assist with the test and validation of new products.
4. Specify software functionality.
5. Generate bespoke test software to assist with general test and validation activities.
6. Follow good practice for revision control and commenting within the code to ensure traceability and facilitate knowledge capture.
7. Support software updates for machines currently in production.
8. Integrate product hardware and software.
Person specification:-
9. A strong academic background.
10. A degree in a relevant field (candidates without a degree will be considered if they can demonstrate extensive and relevant industry experience).
11. Experience of developing software for mobile machinery.
12. Experience in software development for electro-mechanical systems.
13. Knowledge of PLC programming using CODESYS (especially using FBD ‘Functional Block Diagram’ and ST ‘Structured Text’ languages).
14. Knowledge of control of hydraulic valves.
15. Experience in software development using the V-Model.
16. Experience in software development using MS Visual Studio (C, C#, C++) advantageous.
This is a full time permanent Control Systems Engineer role, with a 40 hour working week, offering an annual salary of up to £55,000 plus annual company benefits to include a 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, pension scheme, annual bonus of £5000.
