The Through Life Support (TLS) team are responsible for the provision of expert strategy and operational advice to clients that function within a fast-moving global environment. The team is made up of subject matter experts that work to the functional leadership under Head of Through Life Support. Working within teams and on occasions independently, each consultant will be expected to work, onsite and remotely, with the client on complex engagements.

JOB OVERVIEW/INTRODUCTION
As a Through Life Support consultant, you will be at the leading edge of designing, developing and delivering product and support solutions throughout the capability lifecycle of Defence equipment. Optimising support solutions using leading edge technologies and digital tools where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering Through Life Support from concept and design through to disposal.
PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support clients in design and delivery of integrated support solutions across Defence domains.
* Analyse, assess, design and deliver TLS strategies in support of capability design and concepts.
* Analyse and deliver support interventions to sustain and improve system performance.
* Work with data analysts to develop evidence based, data driven support options and solutions.
* Develop innovative approaches to integrated support utilising data and data analytics to maximise the value chain.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance support management processes.
* Deliver to Squarcle standards and meet client's expectations demonstrating an ability to manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
* Develop and strengthen client relationships and trust through acting with integrity.
* Develop and implement executive level governance structures, while supporting discussions in delivery.
* Ensure quality products and services are delivered on time, in scope and meet Squarcle’s highest standard for deliverables.
* Able to lead, support and participate fully on project teams.
* Line management of junior consultants.
* Support the continued drive of performance excellence of the internal Through Life Support capability.
* Continuous professional development, keeping abreast of latest technological advances and regulatory policy and practise.
* Continuously seek to develop your TLS skills, learning from a range of sources, including formal training, learning from experience, and coaching and mentoring.
SECONDARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Performance management of staff.
* Develop and refine Squarcle methods.
* Support to wider team activities e.g. knowledge sessions, recruitment etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (ESSENTIAL)
* Strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate clearly and confidently to the highest standard in written, presentational, and day to day work.
* Ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships.
* Experience of working as part of multi-disciplinary teams that may be from multiple organisations.
* Knowledge and experience in Defence capability and acquisition.
* Knowledge and experience in designing and setting integrated support requirements.
* Knowledge and experience in Integrated Product Support and Integrated Logistic Support management and supportability engineering.
* A comprehensive knowledge of the Support Solution Envelope (SSE), the associated Support Solution Development Tool (SSDT) and how this is applied across MOD procurement projects.
* Working knowledge of Portfolio, Programme and Project Management and Strategic Asset Management.
* A full driving licence and own vehicle is required for this role.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (DESIRABLE)
* Project Management Qualification (Prince2, APM, Agile, Scrum etc).
* At least a Level 4 qualification in a relevant engineering or technical discipline.
* Understanding of how advanced data analytics can be used within TLS.
This role requires you to have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and obtain Security Check (SC) security clearance. Clearance must be obtained without any caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role you’ve been recruited for. If it isn’t obtained, or is obtained but with caveats that prevent you from carrying out the role, any conditional offer made to you will be withdrawn. Obtaining SC security clearance can be a lengthy process, and we reserve the right to withdraw any conditional offer made if the necessary security clearance isn’t obtained within 6 months.
