The role
Due to our self-delivery strategy, we have a rare opportunity for a Plumber to join our team. This is an exciting time to join our successful Facilities Management team. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager the key purpose of the role is to provide pluming maintenance services across our FM contracts to our client in accordance with the latest British EN and SFG20 standards.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Undertaking the day to day duties associated with all plumbing maintenance.
2. Carry out work safely and efficiently, as directed by the Senior Management Team and one’s own initiative.
3. Undertake Building surveys with respect to Facilities Maintenance requirements and planned maintenance
4. Support the service desk with the planning of reactive and planned Plumbing tasks
5. Ensuring all tools & equipment used is done so to Company and/or manufacturers standards
6. Maintain all documentation in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 standards
7. Ensure compliance with Company and client Health, Safety and Environmental rules.
8. Report any accidents, near misses, health and safety or environmental issues to the Service desk
9. Support the contracts with all PPM’S and reactive works as appropriate (with support from contractors where required)
10. Supervision of any external contractors on site to undertake works as required.
11. Be the key customer link between Contractors and EWFM on project work.
12. Report Issues defects and reactive works to the FMs & helpdesk CAFM system in real time
13. Support Facilities Managers requests within a timely manner
14. Be proactive to any potential issues
15. Any other duties as reasonably required by the Hard FM Management
About you
Aligned to our ethos and values, you will be qualified in plumbing (NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent) and have worked to SFG20 maintenance standards. This is a customer / client facing role, it is essential that you have excellent communication and customer service skills. You will be orgainsed, methodical and have extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations. It’s advantageous that you have previous experience in the service and maintenance of a broad category of assets, to include, water management (L8) heating / cooling systems etc. Health and Safety is at the forefront of our business; therefore, it is essential that you have good knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
