Pro currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Claims Technician to join our EL/PL sensitive claims team on a full-time permanent basis.
Pro operates a flexible working policy with regard to hybrid working. Our UK office locations are in London, Glasgow, Gloucester, Horsham, and Liverpool, and the post holder will be required to travel to work at one of these locations on a hybrid basis.
Purpose of Role
* Reporting to the Sensitive & Casualty Claims Manager, the Senior Claims Technician will manage sensitive and technically complex claims, including but not limited to, the following:
* Abuse
* Care
* Sporting head injury
* Managing all diaries and post within the agreed SLAs
* Liaising with solicitors and brokers
* Developing effective business relationships internally and externally
* Maintain accurate records for auditing and regulatory purposes
* Identifying potential fraud
* Proactively support the team in their achievements and overall business objectives
* Oversight of PLF in terms of case strategy being adopted
* Referring to the Technical Claims Manager (Abuse and Care), as and when appropriate, in line with licence limits
* Provide technical advice and guidance to external clients
* Contribute to projects relevant to the sub-vertical
* Strengthen Client Relationships
* Represent Pro in a Professional manner to both peer and potential marketplace acquaintances
* Working with TCM, undertake QA/QC on time, to the required standard, delivering feedback to the handler in a timely and constructive manner
* Contribute to PLF Audit and supplier Quality Control framework as required

* Maintenance of complete and accurate claims data for auditing and regulatory purposes
* Compliance with internal/external referral triggers
* Ensure accurate client billing
Required Skills
* Strong technical background relating to EL/PL claims including, but not limited to: Abuse, Care and Stress claims
* Ability to work towards Service Level Agreements
* Good Policy interpretation skills
* Effective communication and key stakeholder relationship management skills
* Knowledge of claims handling, quality assurance, fraud and impacting legislation in respect of own business unit or discipline at a level which enables the provision of strategic decision making and direction
* Adaptable to change
* Strong relationship building skills and a professional and approachable manner
* Coaching/Mentoring skills
