We are looking for 4 talented and motivating Lead Business Analysts to oversee, support, and develop established teams of business analysts within multidisciplinary teams whose work needs to drive the best outcomes for both claimants and the taxpayer.
Digital Modernisation and Efficiency Function
We have 2 roles based in Digital Modernisation and Efficiency Function. Our Retirement Teams deliver services in support of over 15 million people and make payments in excess of £100 billion per year. We work together to support people, now and for the future. We are proud of the difference we make by running the State Pension service, administering the Pension Credit benefit, delivering seasonal payments such as Winter Fuel Allowance and Christmas Bonus, and providing pensions and retirement information for current and future pensioners in the UK and abroad. Our services directly help some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
Bereavement & Care Services
Our Bereavement and Care services are responsible for running and transforming digital services for some of our most vulnerable citizens. This includes the design, delivery and live running of digital products and services across; Attendance Allowance, Carers Allowance, Tell us Once and Bereavement Support Payments.
Your role will support multiple teams across the two areas of Bereavement and Care. We have a number of high performing teams working to maintain and transform our services. You will work closely within a Senior Leadership Team which looks to serve and empower the teams. Removing any strategic level blockers and allowing the teams to move at pace.

Working Age Services Function
We have 2 roles based in Working Age Services, including Employment and Support Allowance, Job Seeker’s Allowance and Universal Credit, one of the highest profile digital transformation programmes in the world. Collectively these services help people into work whilst supporting those who can’t work. Together they are the most fundamental reform since the inception of the welfare state.
As a Lead Business Analyst working within DWP Digital these are some of the things you will be doing:
* You will be a leading figure within the community and externally, providing guidance and setting standards for Business Analyst related services across multiple services and programmes.
* You will work with senior stakeholders within the department and across government to understand complex requirements, leading workshops and other techniques as required.
* You will work with other lead Business Analyst and other practices to understand cross-dependencies and priorities.
* You will operate in a management capacity for the Business Analyst community.
* You will work with the Lead Product Owner(s), providing insights to agree appropriate priorities, to shape and influence work that aligns with the strategic drivers.
* You will Champion professional development, supporting and promoting the principles of the 70:20:10 model to Learning & Development to the Business Analysts working in your function.
