The incumbent will be a key part of the LAD team, working within the Armoury. Key duties include (but are not limited to):
The inspection and repair of weapons and ancillary items. Maintaining associated paper and electronic records.
Completion of engraving requests including ceremonial items, presentation pieces and unit property.
The control of COSHH items within the Armourers’ workshop.
Maintenance of issued tools and stock items.
Responsibility for the security of weapons, parts and associated equipment in the post-holder’s care during the working day.
Person specification
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, flexible and able to work without supervision. You will have an excellent attention to detail and strong verbal communication skills. You must have completed the Army Class One Armourers’ course (or other Service equivalent).
