Roles and Responsibilities
* Defining and implementing all changes to control system code.
* Troubleshooting control system issues and developing resolutions.
* Reducing false alarms through close working with the operations team to fault-find and problem solve.
* Assisting in the delivery of control system operational training to the operations and maintenance teams.
* Developing sequences, cause & effects tables, I/O Schedules for all new projects and additions.
* Inputting into the development of commissioning protocols and plans.
* Ensuring the control system is well maintained by adhering to all preventative maintenance strategies for back-ups and upgrades.
* Ensuring the correct stock holding of control system spares is maintained.
* Assisting in the development of the ABSL Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technicians such that they are comfortable troubleshooting control system issues on-call.
Skills and Experience
* Understanding of project planning and execution.
* Experience in a controls and instrumentation role.
* Good knowledge of specifications and regulations with controls.
* PLC programming.
* DCS Integrating knowledge.
