Master Scheduler Based: Pontypool Hours: Fulltime 37.5 per week Our client Frog Bikes is an award-winning British Manufacturer of Children's Bikes. They are seeking a Master Production Scheduler to join their production team in Pontypool South Wales, to help drive efficiencies in the production process. Working in an organisation with ambitious growth plans, the post holder will conduct monthly sales and operational planning meetings and communicate with key stakeholders across the business to determine priorities and implement necessary changes to the production schedule. Key duties include: • Responsibility for creating manufacturing production orders: Determining the sequence of production orders, material allocations, warehouse material picking and the reconciliation of completed production orders. • Continuous improvement of processes within the planning function. • Maintain essential internal communications across the business: participating in ecn / eco meetings to ensure the appropriate implementation, action and communication of changes to all departments and the impact to orders and backlog. • Review material shortages, stock run outs, kanban and safety stock levels to align to business demand and review with purchasing to ensure continuity of supply. • Lead and co-ordinate all scheduling activities and create a master production schedule that satisfies customer demand with optimum inventory levels and resource utilisation. • Maintain linkage between the mps requirements and non-recurring production development projects. • Follow up on actual v scheduled production, completes backflushing and prepares production order completion reports working with the production department. This role is ideal for an individual looking to develop their planning experience in an MPS role. As well as being results driven, we are looking for a strong communicator who can interact with all functions within the business. To succeed in this role, you will have a background in planning in a manufacturing environment with: Analytical mindset with experience of analysing industry markets, customer demand fluctuations, product lines and manufacturing. Strong Technical Skills with the ability to understand company periodicals, regulations and technical procedures. Good commercial awareness, you will need to be cost-conscious and strive to deliver production at the lowest optimum cost. A Methodical thinker who can plan the introduction of change and limit the effect of residual stocks. The ability to be flexible and adapt, able to suggest and make change, sometimes at short notice.
