An exciting opportunity is available to join a PCI Pharma Services Hay on Wye Site as a Finance Apprentice.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join a thriving team based in Hay on Wye. PCI are a global, integrated CDMO (Contract Development & Manufacturing Organisation) who are transforming patients’ lives across the globe.
The successful candidate will be able to develop new skills in a friendly, thriving, fast-paced finance team, with full support provided for training and development opportunities.
Apprenticeship:
1. To actively and enthusiastically work towards successfully achieving the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification.
2. To complete any tasks assigned by HWGTA (apprenticeship training provider) or any other training provider to support your apprenticeship.
Sales Ledger:
1. Processing sales invoicing.
2. Preparation of schedules to support revenue recognition and cost matching.
3. Monthly reconciliation of recognised revenue.
4. Manage customer invoice queries whilst maintaining positive customer relationships.
5. Production and review of aged debtors’ reports, including working with clients to ensure prompt payment of monies due.
Purchase Ledger:
1. Ensure timely transacting of supplier invoices.
2. Review of supplier statements.
3. Receive and respond to supplier queries.
4. Ensuring timely receipt of goods.
5. Review and processing of employee cash expenses & employee credit cards in line with PCI Travel and Expenses policy.
6. Monthly review of aged creditors and goods received not invoiced (GRNI) reports.
Other:
1. Assisting with year-end audit requests.
2. Carry out other month-end procedures as and when required.
3. Support with business process improvements and lean ways of working.
4. Undertake any duties which may reasonably be required of you.
Candidate Criteria
Essential:
1. A keen interest in Finance and want to study in this area.
2. Computer literate with demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office Excel and other associated Microsoft Office packages.
3. High level of numeracy and literacy skills.
4. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Able to work effectively and contribute as part of a team.
6. Able to maintain confidentiality at all times to ensure compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
7. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders either verbally or via written correspondence.
8. A genuine interest and commitment to learning and development opportunities.
9. Reliable and able to demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills.
Desirable:
1. Previous experience within an office environment.
