About the Role:
Following significant investment, new machinery, and restructuring, we have great opportunities to join a forward-thinking business. Our client seeks an Engineering Team Leader who is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in engineering preventative maintenance within FMCG.
The Engineering Team Leader will oversee and motivate a team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring smooth shift operations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and reliability of equipment through proactive maintenance.
Ownership of the department during shifts, maintaining essential systems, and working at a value-added food manufacturing site with high hygiene and safety standards.
Shift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights ON & 4 OFF (07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities to standards.
2. Maintain site assets to high standards, ensuring availability.
3. Manage stock control by accurately recording parts used.
4. Coach and train team members to enhance skills.
5. Take ownership of departmental efficiency during shifts.
What We’re Looking For:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Strong fault-finding and mechanical skills, with knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs.
* Excellent communication skills for effective liaison.
* Experience with food processing and packaging equipment is desirable; training can be provided.
