Your new company is recruiting a Site Manager to join their Belfast team. Your new company is a specialist Facades Contractor based in Belfast and working across the UK. With a considerable head count across multiple countries, this employer is one of the leading UK-based design, manufacture, and installers of architectural glazing systems. They provide various external façade services to many of the market-leading European and UK-based contractors working in the construction sector. This contractor has a team of designers, surveyors, project managers & fitters with extensive construction experience.
Your new role:
You will join the company as Site Manager, taking responsibility for the delivery and installation of façade packages across the UK. This company has 7-8 live projects ranging in value from £500k to £4 million at any one time, and as Site Manager, you will take responsibility for managing 1 site. You will be tasked with overseeing the package and ensuring the work is carried out on time and to a high-quality standard. You will manage labour and sub-contractors on site and ensure health and safety is maintained, while working with design and procurement teams to update and help with the smooth running of the site. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be tasked with carrying out inspections in line with RAMS, ensuring the packages are on program, QA checks are completed, and site meetings with the main contractor are attended. With sites across the UK, you will be required to travel weekly, Monday to Friday, although all accommodation, flights, and a living away allowance will be provided.
What you'll need to succeed:
To be successful in this role, you must have relevant previous experience of working in a similar construction Site Manager role, preferably with facades or main contractor experience. You will be a self-starter, with a can-do attitude and a good level of organisation. You will possess a high level of communication and be responsible for ensuring the site team is briefed daily on the scheduled works programme. You will be able to motivate the team to ensure work is carried out promptly and all reports are addressed, as well as holding up-to-date, accurate site management tickets. You will also be required to travel from Monday to Friday for the role.
