Madeleine Milburn Ltd is looking for an energetic, creative, and highly-motivated Rights Assistant. This crucial role is best suited for someone with at least one year's office and/or industry experience and a desire to progress within the agency. They should also have a proven track record of administrative excellence and be a voracious reader of contemporary fiction.
As part of an ambitious team, your role will demand a sense of urgency coupled with an aptitude for calm, an articulate phone and writing style, a desire to learn and to initiate, and outstanding organisational standards.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Assisting with international rights for adult and children's fiction and non-fiction;
2. Creating agency marketing material;
3. Scheduling and attending book fairs;
4. Royalty and contract processing;
5. Website and database management;
6. Responsibility for agency media in relation to international rights;
7. Handling international publicity for authors;
8. General office duties.
