Abdominal Medicine & Surgery Business Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, positive and patient-centered leader to join the Abdominal Medicine and Surgery CSU here at Leeds in the role of Business Manager. The Abdominal Medicine and Surgery CSU is one of the largest CSUs in the Trust. We are looking for a Business Manager to join our close-knit group of ambitious and enthusiastic clinicians and managers. The AMS management team works collaboratively at a fast pace to deliver operational management on point and take services forwards.

We are looking for candidates who are able to engage with the clinical, nursing, and administrative teams to provide visible leadership, develop services to meet the needs of our patients, challenge colleagues appropriately, and be flexible in dealing with and responding to problems.
You must have a good range of interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to build, develop, and motivate a team effectively. You will have a proven track record in leading and motivating staff in the delivery of quality patient care across complex clinical and business environments.
Main duties of the job
The post holder provides management support to the CSU or a component part of the CSU. He/she will have responsibility for the performance of administrative and clerical staff and will ensure that services are delivered within budget to agreed quality standards and in accordance with agreed activity levels.
The post holder will also work with members of their CSU and other senior managers in the strategic development of the services provided by the CSU. This will include strategic and operational business planning and monitoring, and the development of relationships with key internal and external partners. The post holder will ensure the CSU functions as an integral part of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and that CSU and Trust-wide objectives are achieved simultaneously.

1. Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification
2. Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development, including a management qualification or postgraduate diploma
