Commercial gas engineer

Role: Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £45,000 + company van + Fuel card and on-call premium

Mainstay Recruitment is seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our clients team. This role involves working on a variety of maintenance, installation, and repair tasks to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct annual and interim maintenance visits in line with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
* Install gas pipework, including carrying out appropriate tightness and strength testing.
* Replace heating controls and components as per manufacturer instructions.
* Perform Combustion Performance Analysis on gas appliances.
* Investigate and diagnose faults using manufacturer technical literature.
* Attend gas escape reports and suspected fumes incidents in compliance with regulations.
* Adhere to the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedures, including issuing warning labels and notices.
* Complete all necessary legal documentation using a handheld PDA system.
* Undertake pipework alterations and repairs.
* Replace parts to complete repairs or install new components such as radiators, valves, and pipework.
* Respond to daily reactive repair requests as required.
