As a Senior Care Assistant, your role is crucial to our home, driving a team of Care Assistants who deliver high-quality, personal care to our residents, while inspiring, developing, and nurturing them to be their best every day.
We will train you on all aspects of our new digital care, transforming how we work, allowing you to focus on clinical excellence and care for our residents. As healthcare experts for over 75 years, we are committed to continually training you in the clinical and social care developments necessary for your role.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
1. Managing day-to-day responsibilities of running a unit.
2. Supporting clinical duties, including assisting the nurse with medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate records.
3. Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including overseeing all shift handovers.
4. Helping train and supervise new staff members.
5. Building relationships with residents, their families, and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses.
6. Assisting residents with personal care duties.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
* You’ll have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in care, with our support if needed.
* You are motivated, positive, and possess great interpersonal skills, thriving in a close-knit team.
* You have previous experience in the role and a passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
