As part of the club’s performance services team, the performance nutritionist will provide a club-wide nutrition strategy, applied delivery, and education to QPR players (& support staff where appropriate). This is to optimise the impact nutrition has on players' performance, recovery, and development in order to reach their potential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a club-wide nutrition strategy to optimise player performance. Key duties include:
* Aligning nutrition plans with squad periodisation, focusing on fuelling, recovery, and development.
* Integrating individual nutrition strategies into player development plans, including body composition goals.
* Delivering group and one-on-one nutrition education for Men's First Team, Development Squad, Women's Team, and Academy players.
* Providing daily support at training, managing key nutrition strategies, and monitoring performance metrics.
* Collaborating with the Head Performance Chef on menus and catering interventions.
* Overseeing supplement management in compliance with WADA and UKAD standards.
* Managing nutrition provision for match days, including liaising with hotels and caterers.
* Contributing to performance review meetings and integrating nutrition into the club’s Performance Services Model.
* Educating parents, coaches, and stakeholders on performance nutrition, particularly for academy players.
Qualifications:
* Undergraduate Degree in Nutrition / Sport Science
* MSc in Sports Nutrition
* Recognised Professional Accreditation (SENr, ISAK, UKAD)
* Experience delivering nutritional support in a team sport setting.
* Full-time experience in a similar role within football.
* Demonstrable track record of performance impact specific to nutritional support.
* Experience overseeing research projects.

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, based on experience
